DevOps
Motivation:

There are some free for developers services like acquia and phanteon that facilitate working on remote teams and handling, dev, staging and production servers. But we shouldn't get too lazy and always depend on these services.

Brief Description:

On this talk we'll see some methods and examples we've used on www.noesisenergy.com to manage code changes, configuration changes, module updates and more:

- Features module (probably the most known)
- Shell scripts
- Update hooks
- SQL scripts

Speaker's Biography:
I really like free software and everything that it implies. Software, community, different business models, sharing economy, hippies, geeks, the hard drupalero life =P. Before getting to know Drupal I was using Symfony and Doctrine, I even was a Doctrine core committer back in those days =). Now I work in a small company in México we started in 2007 and have been working with Drupal since then. We try to not focus just on the business but also share a little with the community that has given us so much. Drupal Summit Latino in Lima (2011) gave me the opportunity to share some of this, and later we helped organize the Drupal Summit Latino in Guadalajara. We help on other Drupal events when we can and try to run a small company on the side =).
