Motivation:

Drupal provides a search module that suffices for many cases.... except where it doesn't.

Brief Description:

I'll discuss, compare and talk about some of the other search mechanisms we've used to search a Drupal site:

- Search views
- Google site search
- Search API DB
- Search API Solr
- Search API ElasticSearch
- Search API for sending data to search engine but javascript to display it

Speaker's Biography:
I really like free software and everything that it implies. Software, community, different business models, sharing economy, hippies, geeks, the hard drupalero life =P. Before getting to know Drupal I was using Symfony and Doctrine, I even was a Doctrine core committer back in those days =). Now I work in a small company in México we started in 2007 and have been working with Drupal since then. We try to not focus just on the business but also share a little with the community that has given us so much. Drupal Summit Latino in Lima (2011) gave me the opportunity to share some of this, and later we helped organize the Drupal Summit Latino in Guadalajara. We help on other Drupal events when we can and try to run a small company on the side =).
